I used to own a Pentax ME super, remember those? That was back in the day when we were know as a “young married couple.” It took over 20 years to get back into photography. Circa 2008 I discovered photo blogs and became inspired by what I saw. I started with a Canon 5D MK II and now I use a Fujifilm X-T5. Those early inspirations taught me to see through a lens again. Seeing through a lens again reconnected my heart to images through words. We’ve been married since 1983, we have 4 kids and – currently – 6 grand children. Those realities, and the experience of loss, peace, storms and struggles, love, pain and everything else that you will experience if you walk this sod long enough, often leads me to reflect on the images I capture, so I write my reflections, or things that are turning over in my head and my heart.
