michigan ave

Let’s kick off 2018 with a view of Michigan Avenue, Chicago. If you can, you need to visit this oh so photogenic city, then, visit yours truly!

as seen in Chicago

I spent some time in Chicago with some of my colleagues today. Here is a bit of what I saw. First, falling presents at Macy’s.

Everyone knows that if you find yourself at Macy’s in Chicago during the Christmas season that a visit to The Walnut Room is not to be missed.

The Bean (Cloud Gate) is like a magnet for photographers. I was unable to resist.

I saw two stars and a bean.

It was a beautiful day with unusually warm weather for December.

The London House (center) and… well…you know.

The Chicago River looking particularly grand today.

Thanks for stopping buy!

the L

Short for “elevated”, Chicagoans are always talking about taking the “L” to this, or, that destination.

the daily bread

Recently enjoyed an evening in Chicago with my bride featuring a wonderful meal and experience at Le Pain Quotidien, “the daily bread.” If you are ever in our fair city be sure to check it out!

and i think to myself…

…what a wonderful world…

the two towers

“There is only one Lord of the Bean, only one who can bend it to his will. And he does not share power.”

bubble city

Put the pin down and walk away……s-l-o-w-l-y…..

look what the bean did

I wonder if Cloud Gate, a.k.a., The Bean, is the most photographed object in Chicago. I am pretty sure that you cannot exhaust the limitless possibilities this fascinating sculpture represents from a photographer’s perspective.

the plane boss, the plane

The Museum of Science and Industry is such a fun place for your senses. This is one example: your eyes are just overwhelmed by the proximity of the planes hanging (more like floating) from the ceiling.

a photographer in the wild

shhhh…if you are very quiet you may see a certain photographer in his native mirrored habitat…
