as the winter fire sky gently carries the day away i allow my eyes to drink in the beauty and let the colors fill my mind
a glorious letting go a blazing surrendering to time are there moments in those colors memories in the winter fire sky
take a photo maybe this digital likeness will connect me to the weightless wonder and reflection deeper connection to the Artist’s dazzling affection for creation and all His children
winter fire sky thank you for your singular contribution to ease the longing it’s not a solution or absolution just a nudge a reminder that helps me remember that there is more than all our senses tell us the unseen real the shadows of glory an endless story is whispered in my heart as i say goodby to this winter fire sky
what if today
you stopped
and decided
to be
and not just
to do
stillness
instead of the illness
of this
or that
can you be with yourself
can you open your heart
to the presence
of He who made all of the stars
and thought of you
before your first cry
before the first time
you opened your eyes
just close your eyes
breathe
He knows your name
breathe
He loves you
just be
take time
to remind
your mind
that you
are
loved
you
are
His
just
be
say goodbye
and set aside
the troubles
that are storming inside
at days end
now it's all
a remember when
so feel the sads
the mads
the glads
but more than these
give thanks and see
the treasures
the pleasures
that were yours
remember
the sum of them all
is the story of you
the unrepeatable you
a treasure
created by your Maker
who paints the sky
a masterpiece
be at peace
you
unrepeatable
you
be
at
peace
and have
a
nook night

another day to cry
so many whys
we can weep
together
another day to dance
its okay
take a chance
we can hold each other
another day to dream
close your eyes
and see the light
come to chase away
all the darkness
in our hearts
can we just start
again
on this new day
its okay
don’t say a word
we can
just be
another day
to take a breath
and rest
we can see
each other
we can hear
each other
and be
together
another
day
so can we talk about clouds today
it seems they took the sun away
and i’m in my overcast life
there’s something different about this light
so can we talk about clouds today
my head tells me that it’s okay
the Light is here and not far away
but it just doesn’t feel that way
cause in those cloudy skies
i think i see some dreams that cry
and dense dark memories
why did i say those things
or why didn’t i say
anything at all
i wish those clouds would fall
in rain and storms of healing
let it rain
let it rain
so can we talk about clouds today
i suppose if they never came
i might lose the love of Light
and forget that those clouds
do give me sight
i see you and me
and the story
that only can be told
if there are clouds
so dreary is not the end
you’ll see
i choose to sing
to sing out loud
so
hello
clouds
My home town is in the state of Illinois. We are considered a southwest suburb of Chicago. The town is all but surrounded by corn and soy bean fields and so it often seems like any kind of major city is far, far away, even though, if the traffic gods are smiling, we can be in beautiful downtown Chicago in about an hour. These Minooka, Midwest skies are treasures that I always enjoy. Thanks for stopping by.
dear God
really glad you're here
i'll receive all you have for me
with gratitude
for i know this new day
is a gift from You
so today
if i see a hurting soul
let me be a comfort
so today
if someone hurts me
let me be grace and forgiveness
so today
if i stumble in word or deed
please help me
change me
on this new day
make me new
on this new day
