I recently sold all my Canon gear and the proceeds went towards the purchase of a Fujifilm X-T1 with Fujifilm XF 18-55 and XF 10-24 lenses. This is my first post using the new camera and 10-24mm lens. I have lots to learn, and lots of 5D MarkII images to post as well, but this is sort of a milestone for me. Hope you enjoy! This was taken one morning at Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch, Fishtail, Montana. For the past two summers I have been a part of a team that has gone to this ranch to help with Camp Velocity: a 5 day camp for children in the foster care system of Montana. Due to my oldest daughter’s wedding and a missions trip with our church’s high school students I am sad to not be able to return this summer. I will miss loving on those kids, and the beauty of Montana.
Taken on Lake Michigan from the beach at New Buffalo, MI. I think I remember shouting from the shore, “HAVE YOU SEEN THE WHITE WHALE?” 🙂
Lake Geneva, in Wisconsin, is a beautiful, spring fed lake that is about 7.5 miles long. The lake is 5,262 acres in size. There is a path around this crystal lake that is about 21 miles long, and, there are some very large homes along the lake shore as well. This was taken on one of our walks along the lake shore.
We have returned from a wonderful week of spiritual retreat, rest, and, renewal. Hope you all had a great week. Looking forward to reconnecting with my WordPress family 🙂

winter has been so dark and lonely and i miss seeing your clouds

I took my first ride to this location last week, but the weather has not been friendly since. I would love to get inside this building and take some pictures!
Spring is in a titanic struggle with Winter…cold days, then a warm day, then back to cold. This was taken on a cool day on my way back from a long ride. You can do it Spring!
