Black and white challenge #3. This was taken last year beneath downtown Manhattan, NY. Be sure and visit Darwin on the Rocks and Around the World (my challenger) where you will find stunning images from her travels around the world. I am posting a black and white image each day for 5 days – some old and some new – and inviting another blogger to do the same.
Today I challenge the gifted Lignum Draco to join the fun. His blog is full of amazing images from the land down under. He has many delightful black and white street photography images. Check it out!
Here are the rules:
1.Post a different black and white photo of yours each day for five consecutive days.
2. Nominate a fellow blogger on each day to continue the challenge. See you tomorrow for the next post.
Cheers!
This is gorgeous! Is it a gallery?
Thank you. It is a connecting hall for the subway beneath lower Manhattan.
Subway. Never would have guessed.. now you just need to seal it up, move the attendants away, and get someone to walk down the corridor and pose for a dramatic shoot.
Great idea! Might have to give it a try next time I go home 🙂
the light is fabulous !
Thanks so much! It is a very cool space!
Great shot! I kind of like the people in it, but have you tried something like this? http://dsphotographic.com/2006/12/how-to-remove-tourists-from-your-photos/ might be worth trying, to get a people free shot!
Thanks! And thanks for the tip! I have not tried that before. As for this image, I felt the people gave the space a sense of perspective. Thanks for stopping by!
I should have commented on this picture before, because it is awesome! What a wicked looking hallway.
Hey Rob! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, NY is amazing above ground and underground.
