into the light

I guess this is somewhat of a “New York” series now, with an emphasis on Jones Beach. The last five posts and the next few are all from my recent  trip to New York. This was a beautiful day at the shore. I believe this runner made it all the way to the sun.

moody sunset

Taken from my recent trip to New York to be with my parents. Just felt moody, I guess…

still here

Sorry for my absence from WordPress land. I have been focusing on finishing up my second Master’s degree, getting a nasty upper respiratory cold and, a bit of travel as well. This was taken on a certain bridge that I finally ascended.

fall is great

This was taken during our annual staff advance at Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin. We had a great two days of training, planning, and dreaming. I work with a fantastic team of friends who are also my colleagues. Late October in Wisconsin can be cold, rainy, and harsh, but this day was an absolute gift!

For this post: our Midwest sky near Ransom, IL. This is one of the few remaining summer skies around here. Fall is slowly moving in.

Another image from last night’s opener. Don’t miss the next post. It is a capture of a very special football fan.

For this post (and perhaps the next): a little slice of home town life. As Summer makes preparations for Fall to arrive, and school hallways are filled with students, the fields come alive with football teams and, our favorite, marching band! This was taken at tonight’s home opener. It is senior year for our youngest son and we are looking forward to a great year of Friday night games and competitions.
