Fall is making it’s entrance here in the Midwest. Trees are beginning to show off, Costco has had Christmas trees on display for a few weeks now, and the end of the day knocks on our door a lot sooner than it did just a few weeks ago. It has been a busy time for me as well, so this is the first of a few posts from this past summer. We were in New York in August, so, first up, my favorite place: Jones Beach. Thanks for stopping by.
We are enjoying some getaway time in the Sunshine State. Say hello to Cocoa Beach!
Another set of images from a long walk on a windy day at Jones Beach.
Grateful to be back in New York spending time with my elderly parents. Equally grateful to take long walks at Jones Beach. I love the winter shore.
This post could also be called, “variations on a theme.” I got out by 5:00 am and enjoyed chasing the sunrise along the shore. The ocean waves were singing, the sky was just dancing… a beautiful start to the day…
Just love visiting my elderly parents in New York and, going to my happy place…
We leave the east coast of Long Island for the east coast of Florida. Specifically the next few posts will be from another trip we took in May to the sunshine state. First stop, Delray Beach.
It’s hard not to make blue your favorite color in Florida.
The spring weather in Illinois and in New York has been more like a crazy mash-up of Fall with a touch of Winter: lots of cold rain and gray skies. During my recent trip to New York a beautiful, sunny, bright day made an appearance that coincided with a last minute decision to go to the end of the island. So glad I did.
Definitely too cold for a swim, and too cold for my feet! Perhaps in the summer.
