For the past two summers I have been part of a team that has done some very special work at a camp in Montana. This camp brings together siblings that have been separated in the Montana foster care system. It is a beautiful thing to love on the campers and treat them to a few days of fun! It is also a bittersweet time with these kids, recognizing that some see their brothers or sisters only at this time, and, many have some very hard back stories. We have also enjoyed taking hikes into this beautiful part of the world! If you ever have the chance to go out to Montana, be sure to visit the Custer National Forest.

Custer National Forest

This was taken during a hike in the Woodbine Campground Area of the Custer Naitonal Forest. We hikle a little over a mike to a spectacular view of a waterfall in the mountians. You can read about this area here.

We have finished our work with campers who are in the foster care system of the state of Montana. We had a wonderful experience loving on these children and enjoying the activities with them. The state of Montana partners with Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch to provide a camping experience for kids in their foster care system. It was also a bittersweet time, knowing that many of these campers are in hard circumstances in their young lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and hope to return next year. This year we took an extra day in our schedule to enjoy this part of the world. This was taken during a hike in the Woodbine Campground Area of the Custer National Forest.
