the soybean fields
By this time of year the soybean fields are a beautiful green of such depth that they seem to be animated, especially when they are caressed by the winds and the green waves roll across the fields.
riding again
Here is a bit of a departure from all the recent black and white posts. Some of you may remember that I had a mishap with my motorcycle and a certain peacock earlier this summer. I am glad to say that the peacock was unharmed, the bike is repaired, and my scrapes healed up nicely, so, I am riding again!

My last post (for now) of these amazing wind turbines. I would like to say that I carefully planned this composition…that the wind turbines interesting resemblance to the sun star was intentional… but I can’t. However, I do like the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.
midwest summer
…and here is the next image that, this summer, is a rare sight….a sunny, warm, day. Our youngest daughter is getting married tomorrow, so between celebrations and good times I may be gone for a bit. I will try and post something from our fun! Have a great weekend everyone!
a rainy june
The summer flooding of the Illinois River has finally begun to recede. Illinois has had record rains in June, so hopefully we will be entering a bit of a drier weather pattern in July. This park is still closed due to the swollen Illinois River.
