This bridge spans the Illinois River in Morris, IL, just south of the I&M Canal. I love running and bicycle rides along the canal towpath, and this bridge has become a favorite place to explore.

A great point of view. Is there summer? What I like here, are the light clouds. The scene looks from another time, another century. Is there still life? Or are this relicts?
Hi Matthias! This was taken Dec. 2 on a sunny, but cool day. As far as I can tell, this bridge and these tracks are no longer used. This is just 3 miles from my home. This part of where we live does seem like it is from another time. You are looking directly south in the perspective of the shot. I love old structures like this one and wonder the stories they could tell. Thanks for visiting!
