What may appear to be an unfinished project, is actually a gigantic high ropes and challenge course recently completed and opened at Jones Beach called, Wild Play. It certainly changes the look of the park, but, I can’t wait to give it a try!

that crazy pavilion
I haven’t quite decided if I appreciate the Jay Pritzker Pavillion. The modern, asymmetrical, what-am-i-looking-at? design is, for me, as fascinating as it is frustrating. Yeah.. I tend to be one of those symmetry people. For more check out this link: https://www.archdaily.com/892320/the-jay-pritzker-pavilion-gehry-partners
it’s all about the bean
It’s not as though the impossibly shiny, seamless stainless steel reflections of The Bean are flattering! But you can’t help be fascinated by them, and you can’t stop marveling at the crazy distortions of Chicago, and all the visitors drawn by the visual magnetism that is The Bean.
about faces
Here’s an idea… stick with me… let’s design and build, not one, but two giant LED glass block towers, and have them face each other. Then, let’s have water cascade down from the top of these towers. Then, let’s project a video of a giant face on the giant glass block towers. Then, let’s video the face changing, as if to expel water from it’s mouth, and at just the precise moment, we actually shoot a stream of water from the mouth of the giant LED face. Cool? Right? Thank you Jaume Plensa.

summer finally arrived
The farmers in our area have had a really tough time this spring/summer. We have received unprecedented amounts of rain over the past 4 months! They have not been able to plant, and the yield this year is going to be very light. Normally, these fields are filled with tall corn, and beautiful, deep green, soybean plants. Still, love the beauty of the Midwest, and love riding!

Wynwood Walls
One of the greatest delights on our recent trip to Florida was a visit to Wynwood Walls. You can read all about Wynwood Walls here. This urban street art gallery is an absolute must see if you are ever in or near Miami! Some of you will recognize the work of Eduardo Kobra. My only regret is that I did not take the time to note all of the artists that appear in this post. Bravo to all the artists and this amazing art district in Miami!
