I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and… the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. I spent some time in Chicago with some of my colleagues today. Here is a bit of what I saw. First, falling presents at Macy’s.

Everyone knows that if you find yourself at Macy’s in Chicago during the Christmas season that a visit to The Walnut Room is not to be missed.

The Bean (Cloud Gate) is like a magnet for photographers. I was unable to resist.

I saw two stars and a bean.

It was a beautiful day with unusually warm weather for December.

My dear friend passed away yesterday. He is free from pain. He was a person of faith, and, so am I, so in the midst of grief we hold on to hope. Funny…what enters your mind when you reflect on a life well lived, and, the sorrow of loss… I was glad that old spiritual came to mind…
