I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and… the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. I have had Montana on my mind lately. A few years ago, in the month of April, I had the opportunity to teach at a bible college there and I have been going through some images from that trip. Definitely hope I have an opportunity to return to this beautiful part of the world.

A colorful shore for this post. It’s hard to put into words how much I miss the shore and, how peaceful it is for me to be there. Looking forward to my next visit.

We are all on a journey… we are all followers… we give our allegiance and attention to that which we understand will bring us redemption, or, some kind of relief from the darkness in this world and the darkness that lies within. The second in a series of photographs from my recent trip back to New York. I drove home to Illinois yesterday with memories of wonderful moments with my  mom and dad, family, and, of course, the shore.

In case you missed my last post, I am in New York due to my dad’s recent open heart surgery. We brought him home today and he is doing remarkably well. A trip to New York always affords me a chance to go to the beach and enjoy a walk along the shore. This is the first of a few photos from Jones Beach, NY.
