I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. mirror maze

The best part of this afternoon’s visit to the Museum of Science and Industry was the mirror maze! It was totally disorienting, put you in an insecure, tenuous mode and, was sooooooo fun!!

this way or that way

I haven’t done any research, but someone has probably figured out the amount of people that, at any given time, are a part of the subterranean world of New York City. We are all going somewhere. We are all on the journey towards our destination and destiny, going this way, or, that way.

the soybean fields

By this time of year the soybean fields are a beautiful green of such depth that they seem to be animated, especially when they are caressed by the winds and the green waves roll across the fields.

riding again

Here is a bit of a departure from all the recent black and white posts. Some of you may remember that I had a mishap with my motorcycle and a certain peacock earlier this summer. I am glad to say that the peacock was unharmed, the bike is repaired, and my scrapes healed up nicely, so, I am riding again!

Even on a rainy afternoon, it was still a spectacular view.

cloud city

For a few moments it did seem like we were in cloud city! The Oculus looks out of place from this height.

people rain, people rain

From the Oculus we went to the One World Observatory. The forecast called for possible rain and, we could see it coming towards us, carried in the sky by the rainmakers.
