I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and… the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. Another post from my recent trip to New York. Spent a wonderful, wintry afternoon at Jones Beach. Could not find a lifeguard anywhere, so I went to this lifeguard station to see if any would show up. None did.
my mom
The back story of this photograph: this is my dear mom at her brother’s grave site. He was such a wonderful uncle to me. My mom is the youngest of nine. She has one sister still living. It’s sad for me to see her family and generation pass.
jones beach water tower 7
I am having a wonderful time being back home in New York (specifically, East Meadow, NY) visiting my parents and family. My mom and dad still live in the house I grew up in and I love coming “home” to love on them and enjoy them. I also love the shore, especially Jones Beach. I think this is the 7th image that I have posted of the Jones Beach water tower. The next few posts will be from my time back home with my dear parents, in my childhood house on Long Island, near my favorite place to be: the shore.
