Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. The Chicago Field Museum is worth visiting for its exhibits and opportunities for learning, as well as for the grandeur of its architecture and the sheer size of the building.

My colleaugues and I went to Chicago last week to celebrate the birthday of our lead pastor. We spent some time at the Field Museum and then went to Daley Plaza to enjoy Christkindlmarket Chicago. Took lots of shots and I will be posting a few of them here over the next week or so. Hope you enjoy.

In complete defiance of the Midwest winter that cannot be stopped, here is a moment taken at Jones Beach. Here is a little bit of what I remember about my favorite place…

Well…. since winter has made a grand entrance into the Chicago area, sending temperatures deep into chilly territory (a low of 10 degrees Fahrenheit tonight and a high of 19 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow), I thought I would post a couple of images from back home. This is a parking spot for bikes at Jones Beach, on Long Island. I grew up about 15 minutes from the beaches along the southern shore of Long Island, and I miss them very much. New York has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (not that I have sampled many shores around this world… that being said, I am totally biased, and, right!). Anytime I am in NY, whatever the season, I take time to head for the beach and enjoy…. salty air, the constant white noise of the waves, the vast ocean… and time visiting so many memories of family and friends along the shore…
