Two more images that represent our summer. First up: here are the handicapped parking spaces at my favorite “continues-to-be-flooded” park. Stay tuned for the next one…

It has been a while since I have last posted because I have been in Texas this past week presenting a couple of workshops at a worship conference. I stayed with some dear friends that we have known for over 30 years (yup, I am a bit old)! I was able to visit the seminary I graduated from…. uhh…. a while ago….and we spent some time in downtown Fort Worth, TX. These were taken at the Water Gardens with my phone since I decided not to bring my Canon.

the locks at marseilles
You can read about the Illinois Waterway here. This is the lock and dam in Marseilles, IL. The recent rains that resulted in flood conditions made the river a loud, violent presence at this location.

The great WordPress mystery is solved at last! You can see in this image of the Jay Pritzger Pavilion in Millennium Park, Chicago, that my previous post was an image of the structure that floats above the lawn that provides a grid for the sound system. I have taken quite a few pictures here, but it is a modern, massive, wonder, so I find it hard to capture.
