I call it 5 Mile Barn because it is near 5 Mile Bridge outside of Morris, Illinois.
River and Sky
- I have been a runner for many years and, while I do still run, I am bicycling a lot more. This is one of my favorite destinations. It is a park along the banks of the Illinois River in Morris, IL. I have taken lots of shots here and I am always fascinated at how much a single location can change it’s character due to the weather and the change of season. This was a particularly beautiful day.

From Jones Beach State Park, New York: this state park is part of the storied vision of the urban / suburban development of Robert Moses, President of the Long Island State Park Commission. From beaches to bridges, to parks and parkways, Robert Moses was a master builder and his work has helped define that New York Metropolitan area in terms of beauty, accessibility, traffic and urban living. This image is taken from the beautiful Jones Beach boardwalk.
Mother and Son
This is my grandson, Soren, and his mom, Emily. We celebrated his first birthday and I took mucho pictures. Let’s just say that I am still a notch below novice in the great wide wonderful world of photography (my hats off to all of you who work in portrait photography) and can’t seem to capture a good portrait. We had a great time celebrating this little guy.
