merry christmas…

…and Happy Holidays to my WordPress family! Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement!

the last one

This is the last image in a series of black and whites from our Thanksgiving road trip to New York. December is a busy season for me with our annual Christmas production and Christmas Eve preparations, so, hopefully, this will not be the last post of 2018.

seagull or nazgul

The bird in the image above was very content to let me take my time as I snapped picture after picture. The bird seemed to enjoy being photographed as I moved in closer, or, got low to the ground, never appearing frightened or jittery. That all changed when his buddy showed up in the image below. I didn’t know seagulls could sound like Nazgul, but that’s what he sounded like. There was no way that his friend was going to ruin a future in modeling!

this endless journey

Converging, or, diverging?

by my side

That’s my bride of 35 years patiently accompanying me on my photographic walk along the boardwalk. She was so accommodating… stopping with me each time I took a shot. Since high school…. by my side…

jones beach thanksgiving

We drove from Chicago to New York to surprise my parents on their 59th wedding anniversary and, to enjoy Thanksgiving with them, and, of course, to go to the shore.

There is energy in the air.

I have a totally massive respect for portrait photographers. I find it challenging… however, I am happy with how these turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

sailing 3

I have been enjoying visiting family and friends this past week back home on Long Island, New York, where I spent my childhood. If you have been following my blog you know that I am very content and at peace to walk along the shore and enjoy the beauty of the sea. My brother (we are twins) has the same kind of peace and joy, only, he has to be on the sea. He is a talented, skilled sailor and, he and his wife took us out for a sunset sail. It was a beautiful evening. This is the first of a few posts from our evening. Do you prefer the black and white, or, the color version?
