beach stroll

beach stroll

Speaking of the bride to be (see previous post) here is our oldest daughter strolling along the shore of Jones Beach, NY, the summer we picked her up when she returned from The World Race. What is The World Race? Well, it was an opportunity that changed her life. If you like, you can read about it here. That’s all for now…the father of the bride is getting a little teary eyed…

And now! A cool headlight!  ……….well…..anyway……….I though it was cool.

a determined tree

a determined tree

To me, this tree looks like it could just pick up those roots – a.k.a., tentacles; a.k.a., legs – and just go exploring.

stone manor

stone manor

Not quite Downton Abbey, but not to shabby either! Stone Manor is the largest, and probably most famous estate on Lake Geneva. The home that we stayed at last week was next to this estate. I think I might buy it…..or…..just look at this picture….  🙂

river sky

riversky

river sky is it too much to ask that you stay awhile

winter has been so dark and lonely and i miss seeing your clouds

as they dance along the river carrying the day away to a distant sea

river sky just stay awhile and if you must leave

then take me with you to the sea… please take me with you to the sea

This is what I find when I bike 25 miles west from home. It is a favorite destination. If you want to know more about it you can read the back story here.

abandoned 2

I took my first ride to this location last week, but the weather has not been friendly since. I would love to get inside this building and take some pictures!

sky feathers

Spring is in a titanic struggle with Winter…cold days, then a warm day, then back to cold. This was taken on a cool day on my way back from a long ride. You can do it Spring!

Here is another shot of a bridge that I like hiking to. I would like to climb the stair to the right of that tower. Let’s go!

and so i decided to run along the shore of my life

all the shells are still there

scattered shattered memories washed by the sea

wind and sand, salt and sun, time and rain

the ocean sings the waves dance

it has always been the way of grace

love is here

i am grateful

for all the love that is here
