I seem to recall meeting him when I was a young dragon, when having tea with Gandalf. The introductions lasted 4 days. I suspect he might remember me…
Tea with Gandalf? Hmmm….. the Elder Days…. yes….I remember them….grave and gold they were….
You post reminds me of a trip to Costa Rica a few years ago where we were introduced to Walking Trees. These are trees that will drop roots from their branches and actually move themselves to compete for sunlight with the other trees in the rain forest. Your tree looks like it has made a heroic effort to grow where it is is. It’s kind of amazing when you think about it.
Wow! Never hears of this Rich. Yes, I was amazed to see this tree and how it grew amidst the rocks. If memory serves, I think I have a wider shot of this location with more amazing trees. I will have to see if I can find it. 🙂
Thanks for your comment Marcelo. You have encouraged me to be grateful today, and to continue to find ways to help those who have need and much less than I do.
I’m impressive with the tenancity of the tree, growing there, but yes, those tentacles do look a little disturbing…
Looks like a junior Ent (lord of the rings) just sitting and lazing around. Whatever would Treebeard say?
Nice shot.
I am sure that whatever Treebeard would say it would take him a long time to say it! Hey….he may know your name! Thanks for stopping by!

This powerful image makes me think that for many people life is reduced to a struggle for basic survival.

Beautiful! I really enjoy your monochrome shots, great processing!
Cheers, Ron.
Dr. Ron! Thanks for stopping by and for your encouraging words.
