here we are again
such a long day
are you holding all the moments
that so quickly passed me by
stillness and light
time has taken my love
my shame
my ruin
and laughter
and made memories of them all
stillness and light
i would ask you
to politely return them all
but i know you won’t
but it’s okay
stillness and light
don’t go
linger just a while
i love this moment
and hate to see it end
but moments are ending all the time
stillness and light
it’s your beauty
speaking to my soul
untold wonder
truth
and that nagging sense of eternity

i may not be here again at days end
