In my previous post I shared images from the General General Theological Seminary campus in Chelsea NY, the location of a spiritual retreat that Ruth, my wife, and I attended last week. In this post, just a few pics from a walk we took to the Chelsea Piers before having dinner at the Empire Diner.

From the Oculus we went to the One World Observatory. The forecast called for possible rain and, we could see it coming towards us, carried in the sky by the rainmakers.

The Freedom Tower, New York, New York.

The World Trade Center Transportation Hub seems to a bit out of place amidst the shiny, modern buildings in Lower Manhattan. It sort of looks like a gigantic stegosaurus skeleton that was unearthed during construction. Here is an image taken inside the hub.

It’s that time of year again… you know… where I go through the images from this past year… delete lots that I will never look at again (or don’t want to look at again) and find a few that ask me to take a second look. This is one of them. Taken earlier this year when I was in New York with my oldest son, visiting my elderly parents. It was a cold, cloudy, damp and dark day… but it didn’t matter. I was sharing time with my son and my dear parents…
