Last summer our family was part of a team that traveled to a camp in Montana that reunites siblings that have been separated in the foster care system. It was such a joy to serve and see the delight in the faces of kids who rarely have delightful moments. This was taken in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana.

It has taken some some time for me to come to appreciate living in the plains of the Illinois. I prefer the shore, and miss the wooded beauty of western Michigan. On the other hand, the beautiful unobstructed view of the heavens are sure beautiful here.

This bridge spans the Illinois River in Morris, IL, just south of the I&M Canal. I love running and bicycle rides along the canal towpath, and this bridge has become a favorite place to explore.

I have been a runner for many years and, while I do still run, I am bicycling a lot more. This is one of my favorite destinations. It is a park along the banks of the Illinois River in Morris, IL. I have taken lots of shots here and I am always fascinated at how much a single location can change it’s character due to the weather and the change of season. This was a particularly beautiful day.
