I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and⦠the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. I also enjoy writing about the images that surface in my mind and heart as I work with the images from my camera. Thanks for stopping by!

no birds were harmed
So, I post this with a bit of sadness. A few weeks ago I had a meeting with a peacock. You read that correctly: a peacock. The good news is that no birds were harmed while riding my Scout Sixty. The bad news is that my motorcycle and I had a close encounter with the road of the worst kind. We are both fine and, hopefully, repairs won’t take too long.

Returned late last Thursday from my trip to St. Lucia. I did not bring my DSLR, but I did have my trusty iPhone. The image above is taken fromΒ Cap Moule Γ Chique (Vieux-Fort). It is the location of an inactive lighthouse offering incredible views.
I love early morning walks, so almost each day started with one. The image below was taken from a lookout at the end of a very steep climb! Worth every step.
