I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and… the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. fall falls
Taken at Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby Illinois. The overwhelming geographical feature of the midwest plains is: flat! So, I never get tired of hiking the caverns, paths, and waterfalls of Starved Rock. Hope you can see it some day!
parade again
Thought I would pay a quick visit again to our annual Grundy County Corn Festival Parade before posting some more Fall pictures. This is my youngest son. We have enjoyed watching the hard work, teamwork, and fantastic performances of the high school band that he has been a part of for the past four years. Yup…I am kind of a proud papa. fall is great
This was taken during our annual staff advance at Devil’s Lake, Wisconsin. We had a great two days of training, planning, and dreaming. I work with a fantastic team of friends who are also my colleagues. Late October in Wisconsin can be cold, rainy, and harsh, but this day was an absolute gift!

“Seventy-six trombones led the big parade.”
Well, not quite 76, but I am sure that old Harold Hill would have been really pleased to see the seven trombone players pictured here marching in our county’s annual Corn Festival Parade.

Isn’t she a delight? Her eyes, her smile, and obvious joy! I don’t know her name, but I saw her at the annual Grundy County Corn Festival Parade, and she stole my heart 🙂

A wonderful moment between a father and his little girl, as the loud sirens of police cars and fire engines approached during our homecoming parade.
