I married Ruth, my high school sweetheart, in 1983 and we have four children and 6 grandchildren. I have been the worship pastor at Mission Bible Church since 2004. We are located in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. I love singing, bicycling, music, Mahler, boxing, coffee, movies, The Beatles, sunsets, coffee, Mahler, the seashore, sunsets at the seashore, coffee, and… the seashore. Originally from New York, I grew up 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of southern Long Island. I have a Fujifilm X-T5 that I use to capture the world I see. The first to two images of the barn where my daughter had her wedding earlier in August. It was a lot of work to decorate this space, but also lots of fun! The bride was beautiful, the father cried, and a good time was had by all.
river life
Usually I am at this location early in the morning with sea gulls, or geese. On this visit the river had many visitors and activity.
Jerusalem
From a trip to the Holy Land a few years ago. The Church of All Nations can be seen in the center left of the image. Also known as the Church or Basilica of the Agony, it is a Roman Catholic church located on the Mount of Olives next to the Garden of Gethsemane.

Another shot taken just behind where we live. This is pretty much our landscape: cornfields, and soy bean fields…. but it sure can be beautiful…

reflections
This pond is a moment’s walk from our home. I wasn’t aware how beautiful it could look till I took this picture on my way back from a walk. Sometimes you don’t have to go very far to find a “photo worthy” location!

I enjoyed taking a 2.5 mile walk on my recent trip to St. Lucia, mostly because it was much easier than taking the 2.5 mile run! The volcanic island of Saint Lucia is more mountainous than many other Caribbean islands, so you are almost constantly going up or down, making running a bit more challenging that running here in the plains of the Mid West.
