shore time

In case you missed my last post, I am in New York due to my dad’s recent open heart surgery. We brought him home today and he is doing remarkably well. A trip to New York always affords me a chance to go to the beach and enjoy a walk along the shore. This is the first of a few photos from Jones Beach, NY.

Sorry for the silent blog 🙂 Life has been busier than the usual crazy and, my dad recently had double bypass surgery. So, two days ago, I took a road trip back home to be with my parents. He is doing quite well and will be home tomorrow. In the meantime, hope you enjoy one of my favorite bridges in New York.

joshua tree national park

I was going through some images from our trip out west last Fall and, thought I would share these taken at Joshua Tree National Park.

We entered the park just east of Indio, CA, on the south side. Honestly, my first impression could be summed up like this, “So….. why is this a national park?”

After a short time, I changed my mind. The splendor and beauty of the stark, rugged, “not-of-this-planet” terrain became apparent, and, I was amazed at the minimalist, harsh, glory all around me.

If you are able, it would definitely be worth the trip. Thanks for stopping by.

And this is what it looked like inside the Hammerstein Ballroom when we attended a worship service at Hillsong Church: great music, practical teaching, in an amazing venue.

the hammerstein ballroom

On our recent trip to New York we visited the Hammerstein Ballroom, located in the Manhattan Center, where we attended Hillsong Church. The Hammerstein Ballroom is a beautiful venue which hosts a variety of events and productions.

Another image from our time at the beach yesterday. This is my bride of 35 years.

windman

I am back home in NY visiting my mom and dad. They still live in the house I grew up in, which is awesome! A visit to my hometown always includes a visit to the shore, where I spotted “windman” fighting to stay on the earth.
