This is the 2nd (and last) post in a sort of mini family theme. (I promise, no family photo album here!) I just was taken by this moment…my oldest son holding my youngest grandson. Thanks for stopping by.

parade again

Thought I would pay a quick visit again to our annual Grundy County Corn Festival Parade before posting some more Fall pictures. This is my youngest son. We have enjoyed watching the hard work, teamwork, and fantastic performances of the high school band that he has been a part of for the past four years. Yup…I am kind of a proud papa. Thanks for stopping by.

7 trombones

“Seventy-six trombones led the big parade.”

Well, not quite 76, but I am sure that old Harold Hill would have been really pleased to see the seven trombone players pictured here marching in our county’s annual Corn Festival Parade.

For this post: our Midwest sky near Ransom, IL. This is one of the few remaining summer skies around here. Fall is slowly moving in.

Technically it’s not my office, but I do work here. Any guess as to what my “day job” is?

As promised, here is a very special and delightful football fan from last Friday’s season opener. She totally has the cute market cornered and made my night!
