Still enjoying getting out on my motorcycle as Summer gives way to Fall.

come sail away

I have been enjoying visiting family and friends this past week back home on Long Island, New York, where I spent my childhood. If you have been following my blog you know that I am very content and at peace to walk along the shore and enjoy the beauty of the sea. My brother (we are twins) has the same kind of peace and joy, only, he has to be on the sea. He is a talented, skilled sailor and, he and his wife took us out for a sunset sail. It was a beautiful evening. This is the first of a few posts from our evening. Do you prefer the black and white, or, the color version?

Spring has found winter to be quite ornery and stubborn to get out of town, however, yesterday gave us some hope. Finally took out my motorcycle and headed to one of my favorite destinations: a sprawling wind farm about 45 minutes southwest of where we live. Enjoyed a great ride on a beautiful day.

one more montana moment

You can almost hear the rich, sweeping power and, melodies of a symphonic orchestra accompanying this moment.

Or, what I saw when I turned around.

A colorful shore for this post. It’s hard to put into words how much I miss the shore and, how peaceful it is for me to be there. Looking forward to my next visit.

We are all on a journey… we are all followers… we give our allegiance and attention to that which we understand will bring us redemption, or, some kind of relief from the darkness in this world and the darkness that lies within. As you journey on may you find peace and solace, grace and light, rest and welcome.

Another moment along the shore.

shore time 2

The second in a series of photographs from my recent trip back to New York. I drove home to Illinois yesterday with memories of wonderful moments with my  mom and dad, family, and, of course, the shore.
