El Faro Los Morrillos, Cabo Rojo PR

El Faro Los Morrillos, Cabo Rojo PR

This is what was behind me when I took the photograph from my previous post. Known by locals as el Faro, this lighthouse was built in 1882. Originally I was going to post two images from this 2013 trip to Puerto Rico, but I found one more I would like to share, so stay tuned.

With all the black and white images that I have been posting lately I found myself in a colorful mood, so I began going through images that I have not worked on and ran across some photos from a trip to Puerto Rico with my mom and dad. This was taken on the southwest corner of Puerto Rico at the location of El Faro De Cabo Rojo. The next post will show what is directly behind me when I took this shot.

Take a hike along the I&M Canal, turn left at the train trestle, hike along the tracks to the river and you will find this bridge.

We have had a rainy spring, so I thought it best not to walk on this dock while the river was a bit higher than usual.

It was a beautiful, warm day… one of those days when Winter and Spring have a tug of war… in the brief moments between parking the car and taking this picture, winter gathered all the wind she could from above the cold lake, and with all her might, threw it on to the shore. Poor Spring just didn’t see it coming. In other news, all of our kids will be home today to celebrate Mother’s Day. Have a great week everyone!

It’s a 1989 FLHTC, Police Special. It’s loud, ornery (don’t you just love that word?) and in the repair shop…. but soon we will ride again!
